Today I received my August Play by Sephora box strangely it’s too early this month.

Let me confess something ..whenever I have tried to post about this subscription I have been pulled into something , there have been fire alarms or some other emergencies have come up. But today before any issues come up let’s check what i recieved in my box.
This month’s bag seems quite nerdy cute and the leaflet with it explains all the abbreviation for the ingredients.
I am pretty excited about these first 2 products.
The Method: Polish $ 8.9- I have no idea about this brand, had to go on sephora’s website and read about it. Its described as the powerful anti aging exfoliator and seems pretty expensive. Decent sample size. Love trying out new brands.
Lash Building Primer and High Impact Mascara Duo $8 – This duo seems like a travel size. Never tried a mascara primer so something new to try. I love getting mascara samples since they expire so quickly I just feel a full size won’t to be completely utilised as compared to a sample.
Perfect Hair Day Dry Shampoo Mini $12 – I think this is a repeat item but i have enjoyed this dry shampoo and it works perfectly with my fine oily hair. I go through dry shampoo every month so this is going to be put to use right away. Great sample size.
Overall the august box is valued at $45.26 which is pretty good value for $10 subscription and you also get beauty insider points for $10. Certainly the best sephora play box in a while.
Now onto the July box since it arrived quite late I am now sharing my thoughts.
So I was super excited to see the GEN NUDE™ Matte Liquid Lipcolor in Swag $8.7 But my excitement was short lived until i tried this lipstick ? or lipgloss. It doesn’t last on me for more than a hour. Also it’s not pigmented and can’t apply layers to make fully opaque. Takes forever to dry ..in fact it never dried. Oh and it was not even filled completely.
The shade was also a bit light for my preference.
Charcoal Pore Pudding Intensive Wash-Off Treatment $11.4 – They are not joking its the most intense mask I have ever tried but in a good way. I must warn you once you apply the thinnest layer it is going to give you a warming sensation. It makes me feel it’s working 🙂 Also an awesome generous sample size.
Overall only 2 items worked for me. Kinda disappointed in this box but that’s why i feel beauty subscription great way to try new stuff Total value $37.1
Also a quick review of my June box since i never got to a full blog on this one … The Kat von d liquid lipstick in k- dub(swatched below) was my favourite it looks intimidating but looks so good its my new summer favourite.
Overall the june box was a mixed one not bad but not too impressive.
